I’m Wei Wei, and I’m passionate about music, education, and exploring new cultures.
I hold Master’s degrees in Music Education and Music Performance from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where I was fortunate to receive a scholarship. Before embarking on my journey to the U.S., I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Tainan University of Technology in Taiwan, following nine years of education after public school.

During my time at the Conservatory, I was actively involved in tutoring undergraduate students in subjects such as keyboard skills, harmony, ear training, and music fundamentals. I also took pleasure in organizing events for international students and worked behind the scenes on concert assignments. Additionally, I contributed to the local community as a piano accompanist for the Taiwan Presbyterian Church of Greater Boston and The Cambridge Chinese Choral Society, and I participated in Christmas Eve music services across the Greater Boston area. To support myself, I taught piano to American, Chinese-American, and Jewish families, receiving positive feedback and referrals.
My education at the Conservatory opened doors to a career in music education. I trained as a general music classroom teacher for students ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 12, focusing on music appreciation, theory, recorder playing, and instrumental ensembles. I built lasting relationships with my students during my eight-week student teaching experience at Beethoven Elementary School in Boston and organized a successful winter concert at Boston College High School with my mentor.
Before reaching the age of 26, I completed my foundational education in Taiwan, studying in public schools until I was 15. I then pursued nine more years of academic training at Tainan University of Technology, where I earned my Bachelor’s and Master’s in Fine Arts. My passion for music emerged early in my life, leading me to deepen my study of piano. My Master’s thesis, “A Study on J.S. Bach: Chromatic Fantasia and Fugue in D Minor, BWV 903,” is available in Mandarin-Chinese and can be accessed on Taiwan’s National Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (NDLTD) website (login required for full access).
A unique teaching opportunity brought me to Austria in 2012, where I spent two years as an artist-in-residence at the St. Gilgen International School.
There, I taught piano, primary music classes, and Chinese-Mandarin to foreign learners, while also giving regular concerts in the school’s village. After my contract ended, I explored various new fields, including sales, caregiving, service, and administration in the Salzburg region. Through these experiences, I’ve continued to stay connected with music and the arts, all while embracing opportunities for personal growth. I value honesty, simplicity, and the beauty of living life fully.
When I’m not immersed in music, I love traveling to new destinations, especially for stunning ocean views and great food. Taiwan holds a special place in my heart, where I enjoy revisiting fond food memories, family gatherings, and reconnecting with long-time friends from both Taiwan and Boston. I now live in Oberndorf bei Salzburg with my husband and two wonderful daughters.
